Here is my update Front Cover template. Of course when I do my actual front cover, the background will be white not red therefore the the colour scheme will not clash and will easily be able to be seen. I chose this image as this is the type of pose, clothing style and shot that I want for my actual front cover therefore I felt that this would be a good way to get an accurate template. As you can see I played around with the masthead by rubbing out some of the text to make it appear as if she is in front of it, which is a skill I picked up doing my college magazine and also saw in my XXL case study and wanted to try out for my real one. I liked the effect it had on the template.:
Then I moved onto the Contents page template. I played around with the amount of pictures I would include and where they would be placed. Here is my first try, however with this attempt I thought there was too little an amount of pictures, and with this amount they were too big on the page and also it would look weird when the writing was added as due to the awkward spacing:
Here was my second attempt but again with this attempt I felt the writing would look award and there also would not be enough space for the writing and Miss advised me that the pictures would most likely be to big so I should make it smaller.:
Here is my final template in today's lesson. I liked this one as it still had quite a few photo boxes but they were smaller and I had space to write about the contents of the magazine. I may change it a little bit though as I am not sure that the little space on the left side of the contents would be enough for writing the feature articles.:
